“Are you between 18 and 35 years old and curious about how Europe’s energy future is shaped? Are you interested in clean energy, security, and competitiveness, and want to be part of that conversation? Then the Young Energy Ambassadors (YEAs) programme is for you!

If successful, you will get the chance to join a dynamic group of young professionals from across Europe for a year-long experience. You will connect with energy and policy experts, explore today’s biggest energy challenges, and see firsthand how EU energy policy is developed. 

Applications are open from today, 27 January until 15 February 2026. The results of the selection process will be published on 21 April 2026. For further details and to apply please consult the guidelines and application criteria.

A year filled with opportunities

The programme will start with YEAs participating in high-profile sessions at the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from 9 to 11 June 2026 and engage with policy makers, industry leaders and media representatives from across the EU. As part of EUSEW, you will also be invited to the European Youth Energy Day. Participation costs will be covered.

Beyond that, you will join a vibrant network of young people, participate in activities including a mentorship scheme, workshops, policy dialogues and be featured in top European media outlets focused on sustainable energy.”
